Constance "Connie" D. Mock Obituary (1964 - 2025)

Constance Diane Mock, 60, at their Dunkirk home with her hubby by her side, peacefully made her grand departure from this earthly realm. Born August 10, 1964 in Portland, Indiana to Arthur (Art) and Georgmoll Robbins, Connie was a lifelong resident of Jay County. She grew up in Salamonia and Portland with her parents and 7 siblings. The best adventure of her life started March 29, 1985 when she married the love of her life, Larry. Her little family quickly became her pride and joy. Together, they spent an amazing life raising 3 kids, 7 grandbabies, and a few furbabies in their Dunkirk home. Connie graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's in Nursing. Officially an RN, she quickly found her calling in geriatric care. Employed by Magnolia Health Systems the last 20 years as a corporate nurse consultant.Connie was devoted to her work and genuinely and deeply loved her job, her coworkers, and her residents. They were her second family. While Connie seemed to live a simple, quiet life she was full of adventure and sass and loved to keep her hubby on his toes. She was an avid lover of reading, nature, bats, her family, her furbabies, campground camping, crystals, rocks, and travelling. Connie leaves behind a loving husband of 40 years, Larry Mock; 3 children Adam Mock, Keri (Luke) Bailey, and Rachel Mock; 7 grandkids Logan (Emmy), Mollie, Nevaeh, Ricky, Ayzlynn, Max, and Bryxton; 7 siblings Autumn (Donnie) Anderson, Patricia White, Terry Robbins, Victoria Deboy, Aneeda (Doug) Brown, Danny (Sharron) Robbins, and Wendell (Geraldine) Robbins; bonus siblings Dorothy (Arnold) Bonshire and Lonnie (Twila) Mock; many neices and nephews; and special friend of the family Kathy Smith. She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, Georgmoll and Arthur Robbins, friend of the family Ken Smith, and her furbabies Sebastian and Maci. There will be a private celebration of life for family TBA. Connie is especially remembered for the calm she brought to every storm, for unending kindness, and for the unconditional love she gave to all. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you keep her legacy alive by living like Connie. Smile at strangers, hug your people tightly, visit with the elderly, save the bats, find magic in everything, be accepting of everyone, and most importantly love your people boldly, fiercely, and unconditionally.
