Anita J. Thorne, a loving beacon of faith and family, passed away on October 5, 2023. Born on January 13, 1956, in Winchester, Indiana, Anita exuded a warmth that was as captivating as her radiant smile. She was a woman of great strength, resilience, and grace, and her generosity knew no bounds. Her life was a testament to the Nazarene verse, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30)
Spending 67 wonderful years in Lynn, Indiana, Anita was a talented industrial sewer and retired from Kabert Industries in 2018 after a fulfilling career. But her true passion lay in her hobbies - her needlework was nothing short of mastery, her woodworking was a labor of love, and her garden was a vibrant testament to her nurturing spirit. Anita was not just a member, but a vibrant cornerstone of the Williamsburg Nazarene Church and Teen Ambassadors. Her melodious voice was a cherished part of the Worship Team, uplifting all who were present.
Anita is survived by her supportive son Zachary and his wife Jeannine; her beloved granddaughters, Katie, married to Cole, and Jasmine, wife of Eli; her grandson, David; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Annabella Shepherd. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Marjorie Snyder, her loving husband, Kim Thorne, her two sisters, and her brother. Each of us who knew Anita was touched by her kindness, inspired by her courage, and blessed by her love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
