Betty Lewis Obituary

Our mom, Betty Lou Lewis, 93, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. She was born, November 28, 1930, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Oscar and Ida (Goodin) Randall. She had a blessed long life. She enjoyed her church, Parker United Methodist Church, singing in the choir for many years ,and singing for her friends at Willow Bend Living Center, and the hospital nurses.
She was able to travel to many places over the years and see lots of beautiful country, both here and overseas. She loved and enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She enjoyed her home and the comforts within, including flowers, watching westerns, and the Colts, hoping for a win. She also practiced her art of knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Wright and Lydia Yost (Tony); grandchildren, Misty O’Neil (Mike), Shay Ullom (Beulah), Amy Davis and Joshua Weddle; several great grandchildren; step-daughters, Susan Carey (Ron) and Connie Toole (Larry); and step-son, Kenny Lewis (Tonya); and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert (Bill) Wright; second husband, Jack Lewis; brothers, Cecil Randall, Howard (Lee) Randall, Earnest Randall and James Dykes; a sister, Hila Phelps; and a nephew, David Randall.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12:00 p.m. to service time, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parker United Methodist Church, 305 S. Main St., Parker City, IN 47368. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonshookfh.com.
