Caroline Reiber Obituary

Caroline Kay Reiber, 78, of Farmland, IN passed away Wednesday evening, October 27, 2021 at Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born October 31, 1942 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Charles and Wilma (Mendenhall) Dawson. She was a 1961 graduate of Monroe Central High School.
Caroline retired in 2011 as Administrator for the Randolph County Highway Department. She had previous worked at the Randolph County Courthouse in the Recorder’s and Clerk’s offices. She was a member of the Stoney Creek Homemaker’s Club. She enjoyed spending her leisure time cooking, reading and working on word search puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth Lee Reiber; a daughter, Brenda Tharp (husband, Phil) of Winchester, IN; a son, Bruce Reiber (wife, Michelle) of Winchester, IN; a brother, Dean Dawson (wife, Peggy) of Farmland, IN; four grandchildren, Nick Tharp, Clorinda Culy, Morgan Jessup and Taylor Reiber; four great grandchildren, Kate and Hannah Tharp, and Carley and Stetson Culy; and her beloved canine companion, Sugar. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A service to celebrate Caroline’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN, with Pastor Steve Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery of Muncie, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12:00 p.m. to service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
