Diane Cox Obituary

Diane K. Cox, 75, of Parker City, IN passed away Monday morning, October 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 20, 1946 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Merle and Helen (Bosworth) Shaw.

Diane had her Associates Degree in early childhood development. She retired as a manager, in 2017, with A Better Way, working with Shepard Center and Graystone. She was a caregiver at homeless shelters and domestic violence facilities. She enjoyed spending her leisure time as an artist with crafts and stained glass. She enjoyed walks in the woods and the joys that nature can bring.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Sheri Cox (Jeff Thompson) of Parker City, IN; a son, Chris Cox (Tracy) of Cape Coral, FL; five grandchildren, Tayln Cox (Frank Ingram, III), Colten Showalter, Courtney Locke (Drew), Logan Cox (McKenzie) and Vaughn Cox; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a friend and co-worker, Mary Habegger Gary; and all her friends in Alabama and on the reservations.

There will be no services. Cremation was selected at Diane’s request. Memorial contributions may be made to A Better Way Services, Inc. PO Box 734, Muncie, IN 47308. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonshookfh.com.
