Diane Kay (McFarland) Retter

Diane Kay Retter, 80, of Lynn, IN passed away late Friday evening, January 27, 2023 at her residence, with her loving husband by her side. She was born September 7, 1942 in Winchester, IN the daughter of Roy C. and Faye K. (Love) McFarland. She was a 1960 graduate of Lynn High School. Diane retired in 2007 as a Teller with US Bank in Lynn, Indiana and Co-Owner of Polley Farm Service for 46 years. She enjoyed spending her leisure time sewing, reading, enjoying her annual Florida trips and boating with her family at Brookeville Lake, but especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoying their special days and activities. She was known for her kind hospitality. She most will be remembered as a loving and wonderful wife, mom and grandma. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Duane A. Retter; three children, Jeff Retter (wife, Lecia), Robin Prichard (husband, Brad) and Mindy Coblentz (husband, Allen); grandchildren, Paige Jacobs (husband, Jon), Claire Retter, Vanessa Ross (husband, Chris), Miranda Lamb (husband, Kyle), Kayla Prichard, Rhett Coblentz (wife, Christy), Evan and Clay Coblentz; great grandchildren, Huxley Jacobs and Leila and Connor Ross; and a brother, Gary McFarland. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jack and Phil. The family would like to express a special thank you to Alisa Moore for her kindness and loving care to Diane. A service to remember Diane's life will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Lynn Friends Church, 311 S. Main St., Lynn, IN with Matt Wyndham officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery of Lynn, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2nd, at the church.
