Dorothy Eileen (Howell) Miller

Dorothy Eileen (Howell) Miller, 92 of Farmland, IN passed away at her home on August 24, 2021. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born on August 28, 1928 to Hancil and Juanita (Kolp) Howell. She was the next to oldest of 12 children. She was a 1946 graduate of Farmland High School.

The love of her life was Harold. They were married for 62 years until his passing in 2008.

Dorothy had various jobs but most importantly she was a stay at home mom. She also helped drive a semi with Harold. She served in her community and church for many years. She lived her life loving God and others. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Winchester.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Jack, Ronnie and Keith Howell; sisters, Betty Wymer, Nancy Craw, Violet Buis and Marlene Winans; children, David (Sue) Miller, Lahna (Larry) French, Glenda (Greg) Thomas and Tim (Laura) Miller; grandchildren, Erin (Jon) Cooper, Mike Miller, Lindsey Thomas, Tyler Miller, Katelyn (Jake) Boyce and Jacob (Katherine) Miller; great grandchildren, Dalton, Addie and Jack Cooper, Kennedy, Sam (SJ) Boyce and a “new” great granddaughter due any day. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; Brothers, Marvin, Rex, Raymond and Hancil Jr.

A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life and birthday will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene, 403 S. Main St., Winchester, IN 47394 with Pastor Daniel Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery of Farmland, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11:00 a.m. to service time, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
