Janis Irene (Stormes) Sarver, 91, a Winchester resident, passed away Saturday morning December 11, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Randolph after a short illness. She was born Jan 1, 1930 as a New Year’s baby to Pauline Stormes and Franklin Irvin Stormes.
Janis worked as a waitress at Reeve’s Cafe in Winchester, Anchor Hocking, Harold Deloach Architects in Macon, Georgia, and was most recently a volunteer at the Winchester Chamber of Commerce. She loved helping the residents and business owners of Randolph County through her work there.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Susan (Reid) Ralls (husband Mike Ralls); grandchildren, Brandy Ralls and Josh Ralls; their Yorkie, Ginger; a step-son, Larry Sarver (wife Jan Sarver) of Clearwater, Florida; and nieces. She was preceded in death by Tom “TK” Reid her son, and Otto Sarver her husband, brothers John Stormes and Frank “Sonny” Stormes, and a sister Pauline (Stormes) Harrell.
The family has chosen private services. Burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, IN. There are no public calling hours.
