Today, we're here to honor the life of Jerry Halstead. Born on May 15, 1964, in Muncie, Indiana, Jerry spent his 59 years adding a sprinkle of humor to the lives of those lucky enough to know him.
Jerry was a life-long resident of Indiana, spending all of his years in Parker City. He was a dedicated construction worker for the better part of 40 years. He enjoyed spending his leisure time hunting, fishing and working on engines.
Jerry, a man never married but deeply loved, is survived by his brother, Darwin Halstead, and brother, Jamey Halstead. His enduring spirit lives on in his nieces and nephews; Jacob (Lisa), Angela (Curt), Brooks, Sophie (Armando). His playful spirit also touched his great-nieces and nephews, Soloman, Isaac, Aiden, and Armani. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mildred Halstead, and his siblings, Marvin Jr., Kelly Halstead, and Kim Schneider.
While we've lost a great man, we remember Jerry for his funny, spirited, and dedicated nature. We invite you to share your memories of Jerry, the times he made you laugh, the projects he helped you with, or simply the joy he brought into your life. There will be no services. Wilson Shook Funeral Homes, Thornburg Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
