Joseph Wayne Pegg

Joseph Wayne Pegg, 47, of Fountain City, IN passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Reid Health and Hospital of Richmond, IN. He was born in Richmond, IN the son of Robert Michael and Mary Francis (Centers) Pegg. He was a 1993 graduate of Randolph Southern High School.

When working, Joe practiced his skills in mechanics and welding. He loved animals, but had a special fascination with reptiles. He enjoyed music and practiced as a Bass Guitarist.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Mike (wife, Linda) of Lynn, IN; a son, Kaden Bryce Pegg of Richmond, IN; a daughter, Lacy Saxon Pegg of Fountain City, IN; a brother, Rob Pegg (wife, Teri) of Lynn, IN; two sisters, Becky Burton (husband, Bill) of Winchester, IN and Cindy Allen (husband, Donnie) of Fountain City, IN; three step-brothers, Don Day (wife, Linda) of Connersville, IN, Mark Day (wife, Rhonda) of Richmond, IN and Michael Day (wife, Hollie) of Centerville, IN; two step-sisters, Hope Ann Cottongim of Winchester, IN and Melissa Ann Jennings (husband, Todd) of Connersville, IN; a step-father, Terrold Smith of Lynn, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Francis Pegg Smith.

A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, Indiana. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery of Lynn. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12:00 p.m. to service time on Friday, at the funeral home.
