Joy D. Foreman, 82, of Farmland, IN passed away peacefully at her residence of Farmland, IN, with family by her side, March 8, 2022. She was born December 20, 1939, in Union City, IN the daughter of Francis and Mary (Gower) Karn.
Joy retired in 1981, after more than 10 years with Anchor Hocking Glass of Winchester, IN. She and her husband were former owners and operators, for 10 years, of House of Flavors of Winchester, IN. She and her husband also farmed for many years. She enjoyed spending her leisure time wintering in Florida and square dancing.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 65 years, Ora “Bud” W. Foreman; three sons, Steve (wife, Pat), Michael (wife, Bonnie) and David Foreman; two daughters, Terry Bullock (husband, Rick) and Sheryl Smithson (husband, Randy); seventeen grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Perry and Rose Gower; and two brothers, Darrel Harman and Larry Karn.
A service to celebrate Joy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11:00 a.m. to service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
