Mabel Adeline (Abrams) Allen

Mabel Adeline Allen, 84, of Lynn, Indiana passed away peacefully, Friday evening, December 17, 2021 at her residence, with loving family by her side. She was born July 10, 1937 in Paint Lick, KY the daughter of Vaughn and Dixie (Howard) Abrams.

Mabel had worked at the Richmond Bakery and later as a volunteer at Randolph Southern Elementary. She enjoyed spending her leisure time bowling, square dancing, gardening, but most, spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, William “Beanie” Allen (wife, Ann); a brother, Shelby Lee Abrams (wife, Cindy) of Lynn, IN; two sisters, Ellen Beach and Frances Carol Holmes, both of Richmond, IN; four grandchildren, Sheri Allen, Shannon Retter (husband, Eric), Jessica Mays (husband, Jamaal) and Shane Allen (husband, Damon Barnes); eight great grandchildren, Breann, Daniel, Clayton, Morgan, Parker, Jordyn, Jadelyn & Jasmine. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Allen; a son, Tim Allen; and a brother, Vaughn Abrams.

A service to celebrate Mabel’s life will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery of Winchester, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
