Marcia Alice (Mills) Keys, 72, Winchester, IN, passed away from her battle with cancer, Sunday evening, December 5, 2021 at her residence, with loving family by her side. She was born February 7, 1949 in Winchester, IN, the daughter of Dallas V. and Doris A. (Sickels) Mills. She was a 1967 graduate of Monroe Central High School and graduate of Amber’s Beauty School.
Marcia retired after 10 years as a caregiver of the elderly. She had also worked as a beautician for five years; a cafeteria worker at Randolph Central Schools for five years; and YMCA for 5 years. She enjoyed spending her leisure time as a band mom for “The Force”; a girl scout leader for 13 years; a student of genealogy; and a photographer, always having her camera ready. She wore a smile and had a very giving “heart of gold”.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 53 years, Jan R. Keys; a daughter, Shanna D. Hogg (friend, Charlie Welch); grandchildren, Savannah and Jacob Hogg; two sisters, Carlyn A. Holliday and Janice A Powers (Thom); several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Eppert (Paul). She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather, Dale F. Life; brother-in-law, Phillip L. Holliday; a sister-in-law, Carla J. Keys.
The family has elected private services due to Covid-19 concerns. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. There are no public calling hours.
