May Louise (Ellis) Lemons

May Louise Lemons, 89, of Winchester, IN passed away Saturday morning, September 11, 2021 at her residence, with loving family by her side. She was born July 18, 1932 in Elrado, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Mabel (Harriman) Ellis. She was a homemaker, raising seven children.

Louise enjoyed spending her leisure time playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, being a softball mom and feeding the squirrels at her residence. She especially enjoyed being and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Laura Ellis of Winchester, John (Lisa) of Centerville, Chuck (Sue) of Natural Bridge Station, VA, Marilyn Lemons of Winchester, Grace Osborne (Steve) of Saratoga and Danny (Donna) of Winchester; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a special niece, Tammy Heil; and a special friend, Lashonda Green. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Bob; a daughter, Shirley “Abby” Monroe; a grandson, Waylon Monroe; two brothers, Butch and Bill; and and sisters, Dorothy, Mary and Phyllis.

A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. There will be no public visitation. Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonshookfh.com.
