Nathaniel Thomas Wilson, 40, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Muncie, IN, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, October 25, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent of Indianapolis, IN. He was born April 19, 1981 in Muncie, IN the son of Thomas Edward and Pamela Joan (Justice) Wilson. He was a 2000 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He honorably served in the US Army for four years and the National Guard four years, serving two tours overseas.
Nathan worked as a coating operator with Specialty Coating Systems of Indianapolis, IN. He was a hard worker and took pride in his work. If you were a friend, you were like family. He was known as a gentle giant, loved by all that he came in contact with. He was a good listener and always had your back. If you needed help, he was there for you. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and loved being competitive with family euchre games. He especially loved his nieces and they loved him.
Nathan continued to show his care for others by being an organ donor. He will be missed beyond measure.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; a sister, Mandy (Wilson) Jones (husband, Jason) of Rossville, IN; maternal grandmother, Vonna Justice; paternal grandparents, Alfreida and Jim Higdon; nieces, Mya, Emma and Elliana; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Justice; and paternal grandfather, Albert Wilson.
A memorial service to celebrate Nathan’s life will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN with Pastor Doug Gregg officiating. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Sunday, at the funeral home.
