Pamela Welch Obituary

Pam Welch went home to her heavenly father peacefully on December 6, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Pam was born on September 6, 1945 to William O. & Shirley B.K. (Mikesell) Stuckey in Winchester Indiana. Pam lived her entire life in Randolph County where she graduated from Spartanburg High school in 1963.

Upon graduating she married her high school sweetheart, Steve Welch. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage, raising three children, Scott (Kim) Welch, Gary (Chris) Welch and Jennifer (Paul) Faddis. Pam was also the proud grandmother of Shawn (Olivia) Faddis, Blake (Kierra) Welch, Alex Welch, Hayley (Grant) Gough, Laryssa (Eric) Lynch, Austin Myers, Garrett Welch and Gavin Welch. Pam was also blessed with four great grandchildren: Isabella Little, Wyatt Welch, Kruz Faddis and Lovelyn Faddis. She also has sisters Sue Williamson, Sheila Dauer and Kay Shaw, as well as brothers Kent and Joe (Judy) Stuckey Pam devoted her life to her family.

Raising kids and grandkids was where she was happiest. She took great pleasure in watching any and all of their activities like soccer, baseball, football, dance, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball and more. She would not miss out on any of their activities and many times attended multiple games on the same day. She traveled many miles to watch and adore them. When she wasn’t busy following the grandkids, she was busy helping out with one that was home from school sick or picking one up from school or practice when a call came for help. She was always there. Some of our fondest memories of Pam were when she was in her home hosting a family gathering for the holidays. Since she was part of a large family with seven brothers and sisters, time together with the family was extra special to her and family. She always made everyone feel so special. Her baking was amazing and then after meals the real fun began with the games. Pam was always looking for a new game to engage the grandkids and oh was theresome competition around those tables.

Pam also had time for a long career (30+ years) as the Corporate Treasurer for Randolph Southern School Corporation. She also attended Countryside Christian Church where she built a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Pam also enjoyed scrapbooking for her kids and grandkids. Her love and devotion to the ones she loved is evident in those scrapbooks. Pam is preceded in death by her parents, William O. and Shirley B.K. (Mikesell) Stuckey and her brothers Max and Robert Stuckey. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy will forever be a testament to a life well-lived.
