Ralph Aaron Garringer, 53, of Farmland, IN passed away Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021, at his residence. He was born December 1, 1968, in Muncie, IN the son of Mark V and Linda Sue “Susie” (Swingley) Garringer. He was a 1988 graduate of Delta High School of Muncie, IN.
Ralph was an active member of Philadelphia Congregational Christian Church and Randolph Co. Antique Club. He enjoyed showing Grandpa Swingley’s 1949 Oliver 77 at the Portland, IN Old Engine Show. A farmer at heart, Ralph enjoyed hauling green corn to Tipton during autumn seasons until diabetes prevented his driving semi-trucks commercially; Ralph maintained camaraderie with other green corn haulers. More recently he enjoyed working with Smoot Landscaping, cleaning debris and/or snow from many Walmart parking lots until Charcot foot / diabetes destroyed his, ability to nightly walk those large lots.
Ralph enjoyed family gatherings, quick trips for short visits with cousins in Alabama, church friends and functions and family, especially the light of his life, his precious 3 years old nephew, Taylor – they loved golfcart rides and playing cards together.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; a sister, Gina Garringer of Farmland, IN; a brother, Jordan Garringer (wife, Lacie) of Albany, IN; a nephew, Taylor Aaron Garringer ; and a new baby niece, Audrey Renae Garringer, who arrived after Ralph’s passing.
A memorial service for family and friends to gather and share will be 3:30 p.m. Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, at his Philadelphia Christian Church located at the corner of Delaware Co. 500 S. and 700 E. Ralph is buried in Hopewell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 104, Winchester, IN 47394.
