Rebecca Medler Obituary

Rebecca “Becky” Medler, 80, of Farmland, IN passed away peacefully with family by her side, on March 27, 2021.  Becky was born July 1, 1940 in Winchester, IN to Harvey and Sarah “Juanita” Pegg.  Becky graduated in 1958 from Union High School where she was a cheerleader and part of FFA.  She attended Ball State University as a freshman before then working for Boston Store in Winchester, IN.  On June 17, 1961 she married Rodney “Ron” Medler.  They were married for 48 years before her beloved Ron passed away in 2009.  Becky loved spending time with her family taking many trips to participate in her adored granddaughter’s activities and life miles stones such as graduations and summer family trips. She enjoyed spoiling her dogs, such as her last dog, Moose.  Becky leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Rita Kratky and husband Frank of Broadview, MT; a precious granddaughter, Kathryn “Katie” Kratky and her fiancé’ Cole Ratzburg; Becky’s brother, Richard “Dick” Pegg and wife Barbara Pegg; and nieces and nephews: Bonnie Pegg, Leigh-Anne Kendall (Pegg), Tara Pegg, Rocky Pegg (deceased) and Ryan Pegg (deceased).   A private service will be held at the Buena Vista Church and Cemetery of Unionport.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County K9 unit at 155 E. South St., Winchester, IN 47394, Winchester Police K-9 Unit 113 E. Washington St. Winchester, IN 47394 or Randolph County/Winchester Animal Control, 900 N. West St. Winchester, IN 47394.
