Sylvia I (Hernly) Robinson

Sylvia I. (Hernly) Robinson, 96, of Farmland, IN passed away Sunday morning, July 5, 2020 at Parker Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. She was born in Parker City, March 30, 1924, the daughter of Alvia R. and Mary I (Arbogast) Hernly. She married Roscoe W. Robinson on July 4, 1940. They enjoyed 54 years.

Sylvia was a meticulous wallpaper hanger in many homes and some churches, for many years. She was loved by her family and was a great mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Mike Robinson (wife, Donna); a daughter, Barbara Huston (husband, Dave); 12 grandchildren, Danny (Diane), Steve, Rick and Lisa Huston, Joey (Amena), Paul and Holly Bloomingdale, Kevin and Kent Robinson, April (Doug) Rowe, Laurel Ward and Amanda Haney; several great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Mary E. Bloomingdale; one son, A. Joe Robinson; one grandson, Kyle Robinson; five brothers, Ray, Miles, Robert, Dale and Virgil Hernly; seven sisters, Florence Shore, Madonna Gordon, Josephine (Infant), Eva Coulter, Glea Baker, Bernice Kearney and Beth Wright.

Due to Pandemic concerns, the family will be scheduling service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice or Cancer Services of East Central Indiana (The Little Red Door), 2311 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47303.
