Synda K Walburn, born on March 16th, 1948 in Muncie, IN, was a spirited and loving heart whose warmth was felt by all those fortunate enough to have known her. With an infectious smile and a heart full of love,
Synda navigated life with an unwavering dedication to those she held dear. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart," and Synda embodied this sentiment every day of her life. Synda was known for her unique talents and creative spirit.
She worked at the family business, Walburn Pools, for 25 years. She worked as a cook, retiring in 2009 from Ball State University. She had a passion for crafts. She had a special talent for making jewelry and Christmas decorations, adding a touch of her unique style to each piece. In her retirement, she found joy in these hobbies and crafted beautiful pieces that are cherished by her family and friends. Her dedication was not only evident in her work but also in her love for her beloved canine companion, Pugsey, who mattered most to her.
Synda is survived by her children, Christina Arnold and her husband Philip, and Michael Walburn and his partner Angie. She was a cherished grandmother to Gunner, Raysen, and Issie. Synda also leaves behind cousins Sharon Six and Lana McNary, along with several other cousins; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Naomi "Willie" Mills, her brother Phillip Mills, and twin sister Lynda Sutton; and an aunt, Barbara Seitz. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her loving spirit.
