Thomas Duane Hunt

Thomas Duane Hunt, the adventurous, spirited, and generous rancher from Lynn, Indiana, has saddled off to that great rodeo in the sky on May 28, 2023. Born and raised in Winchester, Indiana on April 3, 1951,

Tom spent most of his life living the cowboy dream, wrangling cattle and living life on his own terms. Tom may have been a rancher by trade, but he was a family man and animal lover at heart. After his ranching life in Nebraska, Tom returned to Indiana with his boots, hat, and heart full of love for his family and friends. He was a member of the Spartanburg Christian Church, but his true sanctuary was out on the ranch with the cattle. Tom had a special friend, the lovely Debbie Isenbarger, who could often be found by his side.

Tom is survived by his mother, Mary Hunt, his siblings Debbie (David) Hendrickson, Mark Hunt, and Denise (Doug) Smith, along with several nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, O. Virgil Hunt, and sister-in-law, Diane Hunt.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Spartanburg Cemetery (6623 South Arba Pike, Lynn, Indiana, 47355). Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County 4-H, 1885 US Hwy 27, Winchester, IN 47394 Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
