Thomas Lyle Whitehead

Thomas Lyle Whitehead, 33, of Union City, IN passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1989 in Muncie, IN, the son of Bruce Whitehead and Pamela Kay (Smithson) Whitehead. He was a 2007 graduate of Monroe Central High School.

He was a 2009 graduate of Ivy Tech of Muncie, IN where he received his Associates Degree in Applied Electrical Science. He received his Journeyman Wireman Card following his apprenticeship. He was a member of Indiana Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 855.

Lyle was a 10 year 4-H member. He enjoyed spending his leisure time showing cattle raising Australian Sheppards and Dairy Cattle, golfing and playing Nintendo with his oldest brother.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father Bruce (wife, Cathy); his mother, Pamela Whitehead; five brothers, Luke, Levi (wife, Stephanie), Landon (wife, Jami), Jordan Price (wife, Chelsea) and Jonathan (wife, Brandee); Grandmother, Barbara Whitehead; Grandmother, Sheila West; and 17 nieces and nephews; several uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Byron and Mary Smithson, Bob Whitehead and Jerry West.

A service to celebrate Lyle's life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Farmland Friends Church, 8311 IN-32, Farmland, IN 47340 with Pastor, Jason Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20th, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County 4-H, 1885 US Hwy 27, Winchester, IN 47394.
