William Baldridge Obituary

With a heart full of adventure and a spirit always ready to embrace life's journeys, we remember and celebrate the life of William E. Baldridge. Born on July 26, 1960, in Winchester, Indiana, William lived a vibrant life, filled with loving bonds, loyal friendships, and a compassionate concern for those around him. He spent 63 cherished years in Farmland, Indiana, where his infectious love for life touched the hearts of many. William was a loyal servant to his community, dedicating 42 years of his life to Ardagh (formerly Anchor Hocking), before retiring in 2020. He then began a new chapter as an electrician at Progress Rail, a testament to his adventurous spirit and his constant quest for knowledge and experience. Beyond work, William was a hobby farmer who loved the outdoors. He reveled in the joy of cruising, camping, and creating memorable experiences. He was a member of Farmland Friends Church. Yet nothing mattered more to William than his family. He was a constant presence at his grandchildren's ball games and band competitions, and his love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. William leaves behind a life that's as rich in love as it was in adventure. He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Baldridge, his mother Faye Baldridge, his children Heather (Tyler) Croyle, Brad (Stephanie) Baldridge, Joshua Cooksey, Christa Cooksey, and his siblings Lois (Thomas) Gerber, Walter Baldridge, Timothy Baldridge, Linda (Tony) Brown, Thomas (Marie) Baldridge, David (Jenny) Baldridge, and Donna Baldridge. He also leaves behind a legacy of love with his 13 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, William Baldridge. We invite all who knew and loved William to join us for visitation on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 am EST at the Wilson-Shook Funeral Homes And Cremation Center (Thornburg Memorial Chapel). This will be followed by a celebration of William's life at 1:00 pm EST at the same venue. Burial will follow in Claycomb Cemetery in Jay County, IN. As we remember and celebrate William, let's honor his adventurous spirit, his loving heart, his loyal friendships, and his compassionate soul. We encourage all who knew William to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Let us remember him as he was - a man full of life and love, whose spirit will continue to inspire us all.
